Skin

Carboxytherapy refers to the cutaneous (inside the skin) and subcutaneous (beneath the skin) administration of carbon dioxide gas (CO2) for therapeutic purposes.

The administrated CO2 improves circulation and tissue oxygenation, destroys localised fatty deposits, encourages collagen repair and therefore improves skin elasticity. Toxins are eliminated and oedemas (swelling) are reduced.

What are the side effects of carboxytherapy?
They are insignificant and always reversible. This technique is not very painful, but can produce tingling or warming sensations. A feeling of heavy and tired legs may also (temporarily) occur when too much CO2 is injected.

Wrinkles

Carboxytherapy is used to treat face wrinkles, skin slackening around the eyes, in order to reduce dark circles, improve the elasticity of the skin and reduce hyperpigmentation.

Stretch Marks

A few Carboxytherapy sessions can treat stretch marks efficiently.

The quality of your skin is important: you will achieve better results if your skin has a good texture and if your stretch marks have a homogenous (pinkish) colour.

Cellulite

Carboxytherapy is a natural and quick treatment to remove localised fat deposits. It encourages lipolysis (reduction of the size of the fat cells) and lipoclasis (destruction of the fat cells).
